How to fix input not support in led monitor?

i have gigabyte mother board 3 ghtz and 4 gb ddr3 ram and xp3 os. the monitor just went dead but not the cpu and there is a display "intput not support". is this a company defect regarding built in video card or just a usual monitor problem? kindly assist me in solving this problem...
