I would like to know what you would rather have and why also what you thinks best for me. I want to do video editing and photo work. Also I want to game on my PC I will have geforce gtx 760 sli. So will be great with either set up.
First monitor set up is a
Asus 27 inch 1440p monitor http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B009668YPM/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1389876560&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165

I was drawn to this as I want to see if 1440p any better and worth having for my work editing. I would just have this one monitor for gaming to......

Second set up is got the best for both worlds both 1080p one being a 120hz monitor and the other an ips monitor for work. Both 27"

120hz http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B009668YPM/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?qid=1389876560&sr=8-1&pi=AC_SX110_SY165

Ah Ips

Neither of these options. For video editing I would absolutely triple screen. Left screen input video, right screen output video, center screen your video editing software.

[edited] Also I'd get a Geforce 780Ti rather than SLI 760s, mainly because you can add a second 780Ti at a later date.

I would like to play games to also £430 of is my limit on monitors. 780 ti is £ 200 more. I'm pushing my build price to around £1900 already

If you want to do video and photo editing then you want an IPS panel display which has a much better picture quality than a TN panel. It's also better when doing that type of work to have a 1440p resolution if you're using a 27" monitor.

Therefore, the best option for you is the ASUS PB278Q http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B009668YPM/ref=mp_s_a_1... like the first one you linked.

You will have a better experience gaming with this monitor as well. 120fps at 1440p would require a more than a single 780Ti or SLI 760's if you want to have nice eye candy. The higher pixel ratio as well as superior picture quality would be more appealing also.

So you would pick the single 1440p 27" monitor over the 27" ah ips and 120 hz 27" together ie both together I mean I would e it her get the one 1440p monitor or buy the 2 others as it works out the same price

I totally would in a heart beat. 2 monitors serve little purpose unless two people are doing two separate things on them. I've had that setup with the hopes of being more productive and it's not. The single 1440p monitor would be a much better purchase.

I like the dual monitor idea as one will be used for gaming add it will be 120hz @ 1080p and the other will be used for editing as it will be the top notch panel for it. Ah ips @ 1080P also while I'm working I could use the gaming monitor for Internet and computer control and so on while editing on the other. The dual monitor option would give more area to work on. And give me the best of both worlds. The 1440p monitor is just that will be excellent at editing and ok at gaming. There is one thing I don't like about 1440p is every thing really small. I am guessing though you can enlarge every thing though. But what if the programme your using only been made to fit an 1080p screen all the buttons and ui well be horribly small, will this be the case

I didn't realise how much more expensive the 780 is over the 760s. Wow, the 780 is expensive!

Sure yes, I know, I wasn't really answering your question directly, what I meant was that for work, more screens is better. Also I'd suggesting looking at 1200p monitors, rather than 1080p. I'm a massive fan of 1200p, it's much, much more suitable for, well, most things really. The extra screen height really makes a difference, Dell do some really nice 24" IPS monitors for around the £200 mark. 2 x 27" monitors would be massive, 2 x 24" monitors may well be plenty big enough.

I strongly disagree with this. I couldn't work with only a single screen. I do a lot of work with Excel, databases etc and it would basically be impossible, or incredible laborious with a single screen. For regular usage, yeah, sure, one screen is fine, but for proper work like video editing then a second screen would be a massive, massive improvement. As per my earlier comment, for video editing three screens is ideal, assuming an unlimited budget (it's also amazing for gaming), but out of the budget of RnR (and indeed, out of most people's budget)

Yes, but you're not doing photo/video editing where image quality is key and the pixel ratio on a 27" monitor is not nearly as good at 1080p vs. 1440p.

You also have to remember that dual monitors is completely useless for gaming purposes also since that is your secondary purpose for the setup.

Yeah I see what your saying. The idea behind me getting the two monitors is one is the best for editing ( ok res only 1080) but I can still do it on it and the other best for gaming hi refresh rate and so on. Si get best of both worlds. In worried about going to 1440 and not liking it for some reason.

2 x 24" monitors @ 1200p would be significantly larger than a single 27" monitor @1440p. If you were thinking that a single 27" 1440p monitor is possibly big enough for your needs it makes no sense that the considerably larger 2 x 24" monitor setup would be too small (unless I'm missing something obvious).

Yes, this point is completely valid, this is something important to consider.
