5. How much are you looking to spend?up to $500, but would prefer to keep it around $400

Picture quality is my primary concern, but would also like a low response time.

Thanks for the response. I think im gonna get the BenQ XL2420TE. I was already looking into it, but I constantly question myself on these things and needed someone to somewhat reinforce my opinion.
 
So basically you need a push, I am here to push you, hahaha. Let me say something, first of all its a matter of personal choice, secondly we should look for the vendor, if it's a reliable one or not, and finally its your luck. Some can give you years of service and some could fail within months.

I wish you luck with your choice, hope it will stay for years. Cheers.
