Hey guys! I am building my first PC and I need some opinions on what I can do. Now, the minimum specs I need for this build are going to be:

Ram: 4GB or better
CPU: 2GHz or better
Graphics Card: 256MB 3D card or better.

I would like to keep this around 400 dollars and want to know the best build I could construct for this budget and given minimum specs. Any other components should be the best that will still fit in the 400 dollar budget. (I already have the case)

By the way, this computer is going to mainly be for playing the video game Runescape. The specs given are the minimum specs to play on max settings flawlessly. Any other recommendations for this game would be awesome!

HI SuperTorQ,
Do you have a motherboard in mind, that will really help us get you more accurate/better recommendations. That said, I suggest the following:

Get 8GB, this will dramatically help the overall performance of your PC and help with future-proofing, for example: http://www.newegg.com/Memory/Category/ID-17?Tpk=Memory

For CPU:
Option 1 - AMD FX-6350: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113327 ($140)
Option 2 - AMD FX-8350: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113284 ($199)

Graphics Card:
Option 1 - AMD Radeon HD7850: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131547 ($150)
Option 2 - AMD Radeon HD7770: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202023 ($115)

But, AMD just released a brand new APU (Accelerated Processing Unit) which is a GPU (Graphics Card) integrated with a CPU, simply put the GPU and CPU are on the same chip. The A10-7850K will run Battlefield 4 which a demanding, graphically intense game, and the price is $180: http://www.amazon.com/AMD-AD785KXBJABOX-A10-7850K-APU/dp/B00H7Z7YMI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1390010763&sr=8-1&keywords=a10-7850k So, this APU will definitely run Runescape.

Here is more info: http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/processors/a-series/Pages/nextgenapu.aspx

Finally, have you heard of PCPartPicker? (Give it a shot, it's kinda fun: http://pcpartpicker.com/parts/partlist/)

Good luck
