I use both HWMonitor & Speedfan to monitor my laptop’s cpu temperature. Below is a snapshot of the reading a few minutes after playing Battlefield 3:

Between the ‘Package’ and ‘THRM’ temperature values, which one should I take as the actual cpu temperature? The ‘Package’ value shows that my laptop is idling at 94° C (it doesn’t feel anywhere near that temperature to the touch) and goes up to 143° C when stressed (during the game, it is warm to the touch but definitely not hot).
I think Speedfan takes the THRM values as the CPU temperature. Should I worry about the ‘Package’ values at all?
