Current Build
i5 4670k on a Z87 Gigabyte G1. Sniper(stock CPU cooler)
Crucial Ballistic Tactical @1866MHz 8GB
Gigabyte GTX 770 Windforce OC 2GB on stock clocks
Kingston HyperX 120 GB SSD + Western Digital 250 GB HDD
Corsair 750M PSU
All in a Phantom Full Tower (Green Trim and I just added a 140mm fan in the front)
If this matters
Perixx MX-2000IIB Gaming Mouse at 3000 DPI
Logitech Wireless Keyboard (Ergonomic)
48" 1080p Phillips TV

So I'm debating on what to get next. I can get more RAM for $105 of the same one right not ($113 in the bank, $17 in savings), but I get paid at least $130 on my next payday Thursday. I plan on also getting another 770 because I am not satisfied with 30 FPS in most parts of Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag. Also waiting for G-Sync to come out so I'll stick with my TV for now. My RAM likes to go up to 100% when I'm downloading from Steam and become unstable so I assume I need more RAM soon. I'm also running out of room on both HDD and SSD so I'm gonna need 1-2TB HDD soon as well. Overclocking my i5 also sounds like a good idea that might help me get better FPS but I know it wouldn't be that significant so I'll get that later down the road.

I don't know what to get now with what I have should I:

A) Get more RAM
B) Get an HDD for mass storage
C) Get a CPU Cooler (either air cooler or water cooler, anything that can get me to 4.5 GHz without it getting warm)
Or D) save up for another 770

Thanks for taking the time to read this and helping me out, this is my first PC build and i want it to be awesome!

Happy New Year,
J

Yeah pretty much gaming

Do you recommend SLI?

If not, do you know how I could sell my 770 for at least 2/3 or 1/2 the price?

Unless you're suffering from lack of storage, a new GPU will be the part that will make your experience improve the most.

More RAM is useless unless you're really opening lots of program or virtualizing something heavy. The cooler would be nice for overclock, but you wouldn't notice much of a change on your gaming experience by doing so.

I'd say that SLI is quite ok with the GTX 770. Is scales nicely, outclassing a single GTX Titan. I think frame pacing does just fine.

However I must add that two GTX 770 can draw quite a lot of power. This can impact your utilities bill and stress your PSU a bit.

If you could sell your GTX 770 for a nice price and add the difference needed for a R9 290 (with a custom cooler, of course) you'd be better off in terms of noise, heat and power.

Sapphire's R9 290X TRI-X OC goes for US$579 at newegg today and that card is quite endearing. Very low noise, fair price, huge performance.

But I'm sure that both will still work. I believe that my 770 at load is 250 watts? If I add another I know that the 2nd will only run at 8x speeds even though it's in a 16x slot. My fans would be able to handle the heat, but I see how it can be risky on all areas.

I would gladly wait and save up for a 780 ti but I have no idea how to sell my 770

Depends on where you live. I think the best way to do it is advertise the card on some site that can give you better control of the transaction, let's say eBay.com for example. You could also negotiate all by yourself on Craig's List.

However I must say that I hate doing this sort of thing (lol).
