Okay i asked this before not too long ago, but i thought i made my mind up and went and got the ASRock Fatal1ty Z87 Killer for $114.99 at Newegg.
Now i would be using this board if my i7-4770k here with it, but because i have time to think i was looking over the board and thought is there something better? Well i looked at the

http://

and than i thought, i wonder if there is a upgrade to the same board i have for 60$ more ?
yep

http://

Now i'm asking, is one of these better in any area? Like O/C Sound/ Bios etc Just want the best board with sound but would it be better to just buy the board with the Sound chip or get a PCI-e card?

Ill be using this as my new DAW so the sound chip won't really help in Fl Studio, but i would like to use my AKG 702's for Music or Movies if i have a chance. Better sound, better me. I will try to overclock my I7-4770k to a max of 4.6-20 (yes its a 20, and its a joke) if i can, hope i get a good chip.

My computer as of right now, http://

Sorry for the wall of text, Can anyone help me ? Price range max 220$ Please no Asus boards with modded 1150 Sound Chips :)

A lot of your decision is going to be based on what you plan on using the computer for. Based on the fact that you have both Fatal1ty boards listed (i just ordered the Fatal1ty killer on Newegg for 119.99 last thursday) and that you have an i7 processor, im assuming you plan to do some gaming on it.

If you go with the Fatal1ty professional vs the Killer, all you really gain is 2 more USB 3.0 ports and 4 more SATA 6 GB/s slots along with a few switches for various purposes. you also lose 3 PCIe slots. so if thats worth $55 more, there's that option.

If you go with the Gigabyte (i wouldn't recommend doing this option) because you lose the ability to run multiple video cards and such due to the fact that you can only run 1 at x16 or 1 at x8. You also lose an audio port. on top of all that, it is $55 more.

Now im not sure if you looked at the Asrock Z87 Extreme4 at all ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157369 ) but it's a great motherboard. it has excellent reviews and allows for some amazing setups. it actually has 5 USB 3.0s on-board along with 2 USB 2.0s. (the 5th 3.0 is sticking straight up just to the top left of the chip set) I almost bought it myself but didn't due to money concerns (im a senior in high school working at mcdonalds...moneys not exactly flowing freely).

2 other great motherboards that are worth looking at are the MSI Z87-G45 Gaming motherboard ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130693 ) and the MSI Z87-GD45 Gamign mother board ( http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130692 ). Both allow for great configurations and look to have the kinds of stuff you need.

I hope this helps you out. I've done my best to point out the key differences in specs on some motherboards based on my semi-limited knowledge. I hope you make a choice that you will be happy with and have a nice night.

*note: all comparisons were made as being compared to the ASRock Z87 Fatal1ty Killer*

Nope no gaming atm for this PC only for my DAW, Only looking for Z87 Motherboards for o/c and the sound chip. Yes the Asrock Z87 Killer is really nice been looking at it but sad, i didn't get to use it before i sent it back to Newegg, (Don't have my I7-4770 yet).

The Asrock Z87 Professional has 1 thing you over looked, Creative Sound Core3D Its like a PCI card on the motherboard. Both the Asrock and Gigabyte i linked both have this same chip, Just don't know, what to get.

Digital audio workstation is a DAW by the way, It's the first thing i look for, 2nd SATA 3 ports is 2nd, HDD for Raid 10 for the 7200 64 meg drives, Samples need to run fast from drive or i can do a RAM drive to make it beast. Thanks for you're thought, i should have typed it better, for what i was looking for.
