Hey guys, looking to build my first ever system and want the best possible components, I have a system in mind and have researched prices on the various components. I have a budget of roughly £800-£900, the system will be used for primarily gaming mostly. Thanks guys :) I don't need any peripherals for the build, just the core components.

The sad thing is that you made this a "discussion" thread and not a "solutions" thread; meaning you probably can't
pick someones answer as the solution - which is a big deal around here. Thus people won't be as inclined to answer your thread.
There's rewards for getting the solution, you see.

Anyhow...Got to help a fellow countryman out.

Here you go.

- High-end GPU

- Great OC'able (OverClockable) CPU

- Sufficient and speedy RAM

- An SSD drive for much faster boot times and load times of both the system as well as game loading screens. It's a good SSD.

- Lots of storage in a quality HDD

- A (in my opinion) gorgeous case, that should be big enough to let you do all sorts of things

- A superb motherboard that allows for both SLI or CF (two or more GPUs in the same machine)

- A nice PSU with enough juice to let you insert another GPU later on, if you so chose.

Notes:

If you don't intend on OC'ing, do tell and I'll both remove the CPU cooler and get you a non-K version of the CPU.

OC'ing can be fun, you can learn a lot, yet you can also brick things. However there's many guides out there to avoid that.

You can save a few quid if you don't want to OC. Likewise you can get a slightly cheaper PSU potentially, if you know you won't

go for multi-GPU setups. What's your monitor resolution? 1920 x 1080? Assuming that's the case, you'll get very good performance

from this rig. Furthermore we can save a few quid on the motherboard as well, if you know you won't use SLI (one or more Nvidia

GPUs together). Adding another GPU can boost performance if you find it lacking; yet it's not without its drawbacks. Such setups

require more power, produce more heat, potentially make more noise and aren't supported in all games, as you'll rely on good

driver support. But it's cool and sometimes it's downright necessary when you wish to max out a game graphically. The common

wisdom dictates that it's better to get a single, better card, than several perhaps lesser cards; due to stability.
