Best Graphics Card(s) for 3x monitor display

The possibilities i was thinking of were:

2x 280x (toxic edition from sapphire)

or the 290x lightning that's coming out soon

any thoughts?

I would prefer a single powerful card(R9 290x), as Crossfire never works better. Now its your call.

But,The performance of the 2x 280x is much much far better than 290x and will be able to handle the 3x monitors with a stable 60+fps on most games as long as they are 1080p each whereas the r9 290x might struggle with keeping a stable 60+ fps and you might say that not all games support xfire,but most of the recent games that are released support xfire and if you plan on playing older games with no xfire support you can easily run that game with your three monitor with one r9 280x so there's that.
