Which of these drives would be faster in a laptop?

I can get a laptop with either a 500GB HDD at 7,200RPM or a 1TB SSHD at 5,400RPM but which would be the faster drive?

The hybrid drive (SSHD) is much faster when it comes to frequently used programs, as they will be stored in the cache of that drive and will re-launch so quickly when they are recalled.

As for the traditional 7200 RPM hard drive, it is a better choice when you deal a lot with I/O operations.
