Hello, my computer crashed today and it looks like it is on its last legs. My solution to not having a computer any more, is that I should begin to research and eventually build a new one. There is only one problem, I'm new to the building scheme of things and would like some advice on where to start. My PC will be used mainly as a gaming desktop and my approximate budget will be around $1000-1500. Would anyone like to help this beginner?

I would suggest reading the SBM articles for summaries of building in various price ranges. YouTube will have lots of building videos. Then, there is a sticky on How to Ask For New Build Advice with a template of questions, that will provide the information we need to know to give you the best advice. Please fill that out.
