I have a square monitor and have just ordered a new graphics card

ive just ordered a new graphics card but my monitor isn't widescreen will i be able to play games on it will they look distorted or strange?
i cant exactly buy one for around 2 months because Ive spent all my money on the new gpu?

Just set the resolution correctly and it will be fine, you will need to use 1280x1024 likely. Just select that for windows and in the games and they will look normal.

so im guessing your monitor is old. Well it should look fine but with most square monitors your not going to have the best quality. But it should be fine.

In a likelihood having a normal monitor vs a wide screen version will only mean you will see less of the overall picture (will remove a little from each side) or if your monitor is capable of running wide-screen resolutions, then you will get the full width but have black bars at the top and bottom. Again, what situation will arise is dependent on what resolutions your current monitor is capable of supporting.
