Hello this will be my first build ever. I want to move on from the console world and move into the pc world! I posted on this site many times about how to build a pc and what to get. But i'm a bit stuck, I have went over my budget and need to take it down to $700-750. This is without a monitor or keyboard and mouse because I already have those. Thing is i'm in love with the case and would want some cool red led lightning. But I don't know if my budget will be able to do that. So i'll post a link to my build and if someone can eliminate a few dollars that would be wonderful. Only thing I really care about is the gpu and I want to it to look awesome with red leds.. :/ Also I wanted a 650 psu since i might buy another r9 270x in the future. But I can always buy the gpu and psu.

Thank you for reading and or responding.

First, drop all those fans. You have no need for them. More fans DOES NOT mean a cooler computer. Just a louder one. Case comes with one front intake and a rear exhaust. AT MOT buy ONE fan and use it as a top exhaust.

Also, that PSU is trash. Change it to Antec, XFX, Corsair, Seasonic.

Ok that's one step. I saw the case takes up to 7 fans so I figured why not lol. So i'll buy 1 fan for the top. Also the wattage says 389, so what psu or wattage should be good? I don't know if more wattage is better performance or something.

I don't want to seem like a big noob to everyone. But what does faster RAM do? >.<

More wattage is not better performing. It is best to get a PSU close to what you need. 500-550w is all you need and will be perfect for your build. It should not pull more than 350w under 100% load burn test in gaming it will not even barely touch 300w.

In reality, nothing. You will not be bale to tell a difference at all.

Ok so 500 psu. Anything else I can knock down? What about the motherboard?

I would not get anything lower than a 970 chipset motherboard.

Yeah you wont notice the difference. But its faster for the same price so no reason not to get it that I can think of :p

That was is sweet. But I think I might go with the Corsair Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply. So because it's black. Everything else in my build is either black or red. :)

The Cx series from Corsair is average at best and made with poor quality capacitors. The XFX is MANY times better in quality.

The Antec HCG-520 is also a VERY good unit which is black and RED. It is better than the Corsair as well.

I think i'll go with the XFX 550W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply. :) Also most games out there require like 4gb of memory. So is it better to get 8gb rather then 4?
