Long story short I was going to spend $1000 to build my own computer when I came across someone who builds computers and offered to sell me one for $300 and a ps3. He assured me it will run all games no problem and even ran Skyrim on the highest setting without skipping a beat. Having been a console gamer m whole life im not sure if this is true or even brag worthy but it sounded good to me. Seeing as he only asked for $300 im pretty confident some parts could be upgraded to give me a considerable boost.

power supply - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?gclid=CNr7jNGpq7wCFe5lOgodeTAAEA&Item=N82E16817139027&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-_-pla-_-Power+Supplies-_-N82E16817139027&ef_id=Uu0aJQAAAeh4ftWE:20140201161542:s
video card - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121642
AMD FX 6300 6core 3500Mhz processor
12GB ram

I have the computer hooked up to my tv so 1080p is my res limit. Sry for being a complete noob but if im jumping into pc gaming might as well do it right.

I'd go for a better GPU. Other than that, you have what you need to game right now, though not at ultra in every game.

I thought a 2gb ddr5 gpu was good. Any recommendations on what to upgrade it with? Am I gonna have to upgrade the motherboard or power supply if I get a really good gpu thats future proof
