how can i run ddr3 kingston 4gb ram on my pc

i am having 2gb ddr3 ram which was installed but now i brought a new memory of 4gb ddr3 and when i intalled new memory on my computer is not starting with new memory.

It will depend on the motherboard you have, and the memory sticks you are using. Exact model numbers of the sticks.
