Im trying to crossfire 2 xfx r7870 core edition no crossfire option in the ccc ive tried uninstalling and reinstall gpu driver and ccc tried turning off gpu overdrive with one card at a time then putting them both back in IDK...HELP
I presume you didn't forget to install the bridge.
Try uninstalling the driver again. Then run CCleaner. Do the Clean and Registry portions both. http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner
Then run Driver Sweeper from safe mode (F8). http://www.techspot.com/downloads/4266-driver-sweeper.html
Have it remove any AMD, Nvidia, and ATI graphic driver remnants it can find. Reboot and install the latest driver for your card and OS.
After rebooting, an AMD dialog box should appear to tell you that you have a CF system available if you want to use it. It usually takes a minute or so after booting for this to happen.
Btw, with one of your PCIe X16 slots running at only X4 lanes, you will be disappointment with the CF performance. You need at least X8, X8 lanes to have a satisfactory CF experience.
clutch thanks for trying to help but i got them to crossfire the back card was running at 100+C so i sent them both back and bought one gtx770 4gb like it much better
OK. Good to hear you have the issue behind you. 100C+! Wow. That is hotter than most cards can take... at least for very long. Definitely something wrong with the card.
