Help with building a budget gaming PC. $500-550.

Hello everyone. I'm looking for some help on building a budget gaming PC, I'm looking to spend around $500-550. I live in Canada.

The games as of right now that I'm interested in playing are, Team Fortress 2, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, DayZ, World of Warcraft... If i could play these games with medium-high graphics and around 60 fps i think that would be good enough for me.

I will be using an older Dell 22 inch 1680x1050 native resolution monitor. I also have an Antec (VP450) 450-watt power supply that i could use. I do need an OS.

Will max TF2, WoW will run at medium, CS:GO will run at medium/high, Dayz will; run at low/normal because it is so poorly coded. I have an i5 and gtx660ti and I cannot even run it at medium barely.
  2. Wow that was a fast reply, thanks!

So that power supply i have will be good enough for the build you posted? I also have never put together a PC before but i think I'll be fine, is there anything else i will need for putting everything together? Specific kind of tools, fans, thermal paste?
  3. Yes the Antec vp-450 is a VERY good PSU.

All you need to put it together is a #2 Phillips head screwdriver. The CPU cooler come with paste pre-applied.
  4. In the pcpartpicker part list link it says under compatibility notes,

"ASRock B85M Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard has an onboard USB 3.0 header, but the Thermaltake VL80001W2Z ATX Mid Tower Case does not have front panel USB 3.0 ports."

does this mean that the usb ports on the front of the case won't work? or just not work as usb 3.0, but 2.0 instead?
  5. It means you won't have usb 3.0 ports. YOu will still have 2.0 ports.
