Mantle beta driver 14.1 causes BSOD?

Hello,

Yesterday i installed CCC 14.1 beta 1.6 to test Mantle. I tested it and got a 5-12 FPS increase but that is not what this is about.

I left my computer on for a few hours after installation of the new AMD driver. And i came back to see that windows said it had an unexpected shutdown. This was the first time i had The Blue Screen Of Death on this PC. I did not really care to much about it but the next day i got it again! That is when i looked in to it more.

I found both Minidump files and viewed them with Bluescreenview. Both times it were the exact same problems: AMD Multivendor miniport driver, DirectX graphics kernal and DirectX graphics MMS. I have an A8-5600k and a HD7770 with windows 7 64bit.

I am almost certain that it is the new AMD driver that is causing BSOD and i would like to know if more people have the same problem.

Thanks, Misae

I am currently running the 14.1 beta on my PC, I use an i5-3550 and HD7750 the card below yours but I am experiencing the opposite to you, installing the beta drivers has resolved a blue screening issue that I was experiencing with the 13.12 'stable' drivers. I think it varies from card to card and PC to PC but it definitely sounds like the beta drivers are the cause for you.

I know a few people who have upgraded to 14.1 beta drivers and only one is having issues, one of them who I believe has a HD7770 card is also experiencing BSOD issues, so there could be an issue with that card and these beta drivers.

Thank you for your answer!
I already let AMD know about my problem so i hope they find out what the problem is, and fix it for the few of us!

I also have the hydravision process running but i only have one screen! You can read the BSOD's with bluescreenview just open the program and it will find your BSOD logs.
