Has anyone bought msi version of 290? hows the temps and noise? i have ordered saphires tri-x version, but it has delayed as they are out from supplier. should I wait for the saphire or should i change my order to MSI version? cant find any reviews about msi card, so cant say is it better or worse than saphires card.

Noise on Load:
>Gigabyte Windforce: 39.60dB
>Asus Direct CU II: 42.30dB
>Saphire Tri-X: 40.90dB
>MSI Gaming: 41dB<--

Temperature on Load:
>Gigabyte Windforce: 84ºC
>Asus Direct CU II: 76ºC
>Saphire Tri-X: 73ºC
>MSI Gaming: 73ºC

Looks like sapphire is the best in noise and temperature. I would stick with Sapphire, 73ºC is pretty sweet spot & since MSI is also pretty similar. Although sap provides 2 years warranty while MSI one provides 3 years.

Sorry i noticed that you're talking about 290 not 290x.

For MSI r9 290 gaming edition i can't find any review, i have only read about 290x. But most likely there won't be any noteworthy difference. You should purchase whichever is cheaper.

When it comes to trust i have complete faith in ASUS, Gigabyte, Sapphire & MSI products. Sapphire has reduced their warranty by year and that's why i'm a little disappointed to see this, so i will go with sapphire when 3 of them are unavailable or sapphire is cheap.

I also bought my ASUS R9 280x DC2T few days back, arrived at my home few minutes ago, and even though Sapphire Toxic edition was superior and of the same price i purchased ASUS due to its warranty of 3 years. Moreover RMA with ASUS products is very easy in my country.

If MSI one is the most cheapest one then you should grab that imo.
