Hello guys

I noticed that my PC is shutting down randomly and i discovered also, that pc will shut off itself when im moving with main cable (big connector to mobo). It happens maybe 1 time of 20 but i think i have failing PSU. Its relatively new pc (end of 2013) and i never had problems with Corsair PSUs before.

I noticed also, that if im moving with that cable, 12v is changing voltage in bios. I`d like to know, if its "normal" or something is wrong with cable itself ? Or maybe mobo ?

Check this video from bios :

This is video from PC case showing movement with cable and how it affects voltage in bios. Also, when im moving with cable and voltage raise up, CPU fan is going faster so i can hear swssssssssssshhhhhhh.

Could be either the mobo or psu, but I suspect the mobo and/or connection on the mobo itself. What's the code shown in the second video; what does "86" mean. It is displayed on the mobo readout screen on the mobo just above the connection point.

Thanks, i`ll test connector (moving or touching). And that display is A6 not 86.

If the cable is loose that can be causing you issues, does the 24 pin connector feel warm at all? If you were dropping >0.7V due to a loose pin i would expect it to heat up some.

Do you have access to a digital multimeter? You can use that to double check the voltage readings that the board is seeing to make sure it isn't just a bad voltage sense chip on the motherboard.

Another thing to consider, do you have any fans powered directly off of the PSU? They would be feeding off the 12V rail, listen to it, if you hear it changing pitch with the changing voltage seen in BIOS i'd say that would confirm the PSU being an issue.

Thanks for answer Hunter. I found my problem. Today i went to my friend, he have Corsair CX600 and after we plugged connector in, it was sold and not loose. So my problem is loose connector. So warning for all, do not buy Cx600m for GA z87xud3h!

Im going to RMA this PSU for another model.

I'd say thats a bit of a generalization in your warning....

Look at your 24 pin plug, do some of them look like they are pushed out a bit? Odds are you just have a bad connector, bad units do happen regardless of quality control some will make it out the door, you just happened to get one of the ones that wasn't quite up to snuff.
