I'm looking to make some upgrades on my computer, but I'm on a budget. Generally, I focus on gaming(BF4, Blacklight, AC4, Tomb Raider, Crysis 3, etc), video conversion and products with Adobe Premiere Pro, Freemake, Photoshop, and After Effects. I want to improve the performance of my entire system, but I'm not 100% whether I need to upgrade my CPU and Motherboard or not. I'm probably going to be upgrading my GPU to a GTX 760 soon, but now I'm debating whether the CPU will be a bottleneck or not.
Is it worth upgrading my CPU and mobo from a Phenom II X4 945 to an FX-8320?
Any other suggestions?

Here are my current system specs:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 945
GPU: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD6870
RAM: 16 GB G.Skill 1600Mhz
HDD: 1x 128GB Samsung 840 Pro SSD
1x 1.5 TB Hitachi 7200rpm HDD
MOBO: ASUS M4A79XTD EVO AM3

that's a pretty expensive upgrade considering that you'll need a new mobo, I'd say just overclock your current CPU as far as you can (since you have a decent motherboard for it), it should perform well enough and shouldn't bottleneck the GTX 760 too badly. The FX 8320 is good and all, but imo it's not worth upgrading to in this day and age, a year or so back maybe. We'll have to see what's up with future AMD processors.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, i've been wondering about that myself. AMD has been focusing a lot on the FM2+ sockets and we've seen nothing from AM3+ in a while so I'm worried that if I upgrade the CPU to an FX-8320 (which is better than an A10-7850K), i'd get locked out of future upgrades. It's a really annoying spot we're left in right now.
