I'm looking into upgrading my aging PC . I' was wondering if I could get some suggestions. Im looking to spend around $300-400 give or take. I wants to get a graphic card and PSU. I would want to upgrade the CPU but I'm not sure if I could do that.
I have
Dell inspiron 546
Windows vista
And phenom 9750 quad core processor 2.40 MHz
Ati radeon HD 4650

So far I could run most games medium to low settings.
I'm thinking of getting a corsair 500 w PSU. I'm not sure about the graphic card or cpu. Can anyone give me a good recomendation?
Thank you

Go to FileHippo.com, search for a program named "Speccy", and download it. Once you run it, it will give you a summary of all your PC components, their brand, model, speed and temperature.

First off, dont buy a cx500, get the xfx550watt core pro, or the cx600 as the price is too close to mess about. The CX's are not as well made as the xfx but the 600 will cut it if it isnt hot where you live.
2nd off, dont go from 2007 to 2013 on a graphics card; Your bios might not handle the bus bandwidth . backward compatibility isnt assured.
Buy a used 5770 ,gtx460, or gts 450 to be more assured it will run.
Spending big $'s on a new card will break your heart if it doesnt work.

Slow down all of you. 7770, 7790 are the top ones. CPU can be upgraded, need a bit time, comeback tomorrow.
