Greets peeps,

So I'd like to finally replace my ageing behemoth with some new chips and circuits.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/2P47f

Any advice if I'm going about this the right way?

PC will be used mainly for Internet, some occasional - good quality - gaming, and I'd like to start playing with video editing. Usual officey work too. Budget is £700 or lower.

Thanks for viewing/helping.

Hey there, I don't plan to overclock with this build. Would the coolers you've suggested be better suited for OC? I am not keeping a stock cooler as I think the TX3 Evo would be quieter than it.

I should've mentioned that I still want 8 cores : ) OK, maybe I would play around with OC, but probably not that much as I don't have time.

EDIT20140212 - Trying to paste my parts list... now hopefully some other viewers might find it easier to comment.

Thanks mastrom101!
: )

Quick question related to the RAM compatibility with the M5A97 motherboard. In the link below is Asus' qualified vendor list (QVL) for RAM. It states two RAM brands for DDR3 1866.

I've got Corsair Vengeance in my list - just wondering if not using RAM from Asus' QVL will affect warranty or something else? Any experiences would be nice to read about.

Hey everyone, I haven't bought this yet - still saving the money to get there, but almost made it.

I made a few updates and changes. Bigger PSU, as I have some hard drives lying around and want to accommodate them. Anyone with some experience using Fractal PSUs? Good? Quirky?
