I'm currently using ICS to share my internet connection from my 3G phone connected by USB, to my friends computer using my wifi adapter. This works fine, but I take a massive speed hit at my end and cannot seem to limit the wifi adapter speed anywhere, it seems impossible.
So my solution was to try setting up a proxy server on my PC and letting him connect to that.
I made an ad-hoc connection between his laptop and my computer, bridged the 3G Device and the Wifi adapter, which then seemed to give me an IP of 192.168.137.1 and him an IP of 192.168.137.80
I then made an account for him and set up his chrome to use proxy server for LAN, giving him my IP Address, but he then couldn't access the internet.
What am I doing wrong? Would really appreciate some help or an alternative. I wish I could just limit my Wifi Adapter to only send at 1Mbps.
