Hi there

(I apologize for my bad english)

I'm building my new PC. I already have almost all components. I was left to choose CPU and GPU. I probably choose Intel Core i3 4310, because I will be playing a lot of old games (since 2007), so I think i3 4310 will perform better than FX-6300.

As for graphics card, it's harder to choose. I read many forums and I watched many benchmarks, and I narrowed the choice to four.

Which one is the best option?
1. Radeon R7 260X OC + Core i3 4310?
2. GeForce GTX 650 Ti OC + Core i3 4310?
Or maybe...
3. Radeon R9 270 OC + Pentium G3420?
4. GeForce GTX 660 OC + Pentium G3420?

(If you have other ideas, please share)

Each of these choices will be exactly in my price range, my budget is already set. So before anyone suggest anything, I must say that:
- there is no option for Core i3 4310 + Radeon R9 270 or GTX 660 etc., it will cost too much,
- there is no option for Core i5 + graphics card,
Besides, there is no option for used parts.

The other thing is should I choose 1GB or 2GB? My screen resolution is 1440x900.

I also came across a statement that GeForce should be combined with Intel. And Radeon with AMD processors. How does this relate to my choices? Should I choose GeForce?

My PSU is OCZ StealthXStream II 400W OCZ400SXS2 (+12V1: 17A, +12V2: 15A, max combined for 12V: 384W).

I will be grateful for your help. And sorry for my bad english.

The R7 260x will work well.

The more memory your graphics card have, the higher resolution it will be able to render. So go for 2gb.

There is no problems in using an Intel processor and AMD GPU, I've never heard that it's a bad idea.

And how about Core i3 4310 + HD7850? Does my 3 years old PSU can handle it? The rest of the components is typical: HDD 3.5" 1TB, 4GB DDR3 SDRAM, 19" LCD, 2x 80mm fan, and inexpensive motherboard ASRock H81M-DGS.
