Im gonna say yes it was made back in 2007 3rd Q (over six years old) the 780 is quite new so yes it will dont buy the 780 if you have that cpu you will regret it.

Maybe a 760 SC? I mean i'm running an old Sapphire 3870 X2. I'm just wanting to get a better card without having to to just completely upgrade the system.

i still think it will bottleneck it mate the cpu is really old you will need a new cpu if you want something in the nvidia 700 series you will need a cpu upgrade.

Damn, was hoping I wouldn't have too. There isn't really many options for the socket I use. I can Probably OC it to 3.4-3.6 Ghz safely but I dont want to waste my money on a high-end card when I won't get the performance I want.
