Hello guys,

So currently I have my laptop which has an HDMI out which I have hooked up to my primary monitor. I would like to add another monitor to use. I would only use the 2 HDMI monitors, not the laptop monitor itself. I have tried this with a VGA cable and it works, but I would like to use an HDMI cable instead. How good are usb 2.0 to HDMI adapters? Anyone have experience with them, will my laptop accept it as a monitor source?

Are there any other options that will work good?

Thanks,
Jim

If you have USB 3.0 then go with the Cable matters one but if you only have USB 2.0 then go with the Sabrent one

Just VGA unfortunately. I've been finding a couple of these adapters but this one looks like the best one. Thanks for the link! If you were to pick which would you choose? The Sabrent or this Cable Matters one? http://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matters-SuperSpeed-2048x1152-1920x1200/dp/B004MS0DIK
Thanks!
