I am trying to get a pc that is great for both playing games and dev programs such as unity 3d and maya/blender. I mostly will use it for unity3d, a game developing platform ,and gaming ,average 14+ hours a week when i dont have much going on possibly 7 hours more with my gf playing on it. I need maya too be functional and show a great clarity when it comes to high end shaders.

Currently im sitting on a mac book pro retina 2013 which i bought for around 3000 dollars. It works okayish and easy to carry around. However when im finalizing my project i have to go and use a big mac from school or friends place. According to my friend mac pro also sucks running maya to the point he want to throw it out of the window, bugs, texture losts, change in random things for no reason and stop working once in a while.

I am happy to pay from 1000 to 1600 for a pc that can do both task if possible. If not than i probably have to sacrifice some of the functionality of gaming because me and my gf playing mostly dota2. As long as the pc can run dota2 at highest or close to highest setting we will be more than happy. Pls help me out, have been doing research for a week now still have no idea:(
