AMD GPU Purchasing question.

Hi,

I will be building a planned PC, however I have heard of the massive price hikes in AMD GPUs (GTX 660s are not very available where I live). I live in New Zealand, and I'm thinking maybe I should purchase a R9 270 right now, and purchase parts later, as maybe those price hikes will come here, and when they will, I would have gathered enough money but things would be even more overpriced.

The massively inflated prices from the Cryptocurrency mining only seems to be a North American phenomena, outside NA prices are pretty much as they should be.
