I have a Asrock z87 Extreme3 with an i5 4670k and need help deciding on memory. I don't know much about memory but I know that the higher speed is, the better by slight, depending on the money, but I also know that CAS latency and timing are better the lower they are. As the speed increases those also get higher, so I was curious about what the best option is in terms of balancing them

They are all the same price, so it's the specs and performance I care about. I'm a gamer, I don't do any sort of computing or editing or multiprograming, if that helps. Also these are not definitive choices, any input would be great. It's more or less just what has the best bang for the buck. They're all on the QVL list with my mobo so that shouldn't be an issue either.

Here's a formula from the rog forums:
(Cas Lat / clock speed) * 2000 = a value in nanoseconds
The one with the lower value is faster; so for your choices above
We are looking at:
10.0 vs
9.646 vs
10.314 nanoseconds
yielding the 1866 to be the fastest. I went to verify this as I just read it yesterday but now the pages are blocked as malicious. Can anyone confirm or negate this "formula" because I would have guessed the 2133 to be the way to go had I not seen this. Just thought I'd share; I usually like to substantiate my reasoning better first but wanted to share this anyhow.

UPDATE: I saw the formula elsewhere. Based on this I concur with the above poster and would recommend the 1866 assuming that this formula stands to be worthy.
