I'd like to just get some opinions (the more specific the better) on this build I put together last April and how well it will fare in the future for high-end gaming and video streaming. Any recommendations on replacements or improvements would be great!

Intel i7 3820 3.6GHz 10MB Cache
PNY 16GB DDR3
EVGA GTX 770 2GB
EVGA GTX 770 2GB
ASUS Sabertooth x79
Intel 250GB SSD
1TB HDD
CM Storm Trooper
1050w PS

More about : thoughts build high end gaming streaming

I think the 4770k would be better to future-proof the build. The RAM and GPUs are fine. The motherboard is fine as well but does not feature any extra PCIe/PCI slots, which might not be a problem for a lot of people. The SSD was a good choice. As for the PSU, 850W-900W is more than enough even for the SLI and overclocking, but it is fine as is, too.

It is a nice build.

The i7-4770k would be plenty for this high end gaming and streaming. And then downgrade the motherboard to a Z87 chipset board. I would recommend the ASRock Z87 Extreme6 or Asus Maximus VI Hero.
You'll be fine with 2x4gb. Go for 2x4gb first, and then if you see that all of your RAM is being used, then grab another kit of 2x4gb for 16gb total. Chances are that 8gb is plenty for streaming and gaming (I can stream and game with 8gb easily).
Instead of going for SLI GTX 770, go for a single GTX 780 ti. That gives you room to SLI the 780 ti in the future.
What's the brand and model of the psu?

This is going to sound silly, but when I built this computer I built it at a local Fry's and the guy picked out the PSU so I can't remember the PSU brand.

So you'd recommend me getting rid of my mobo AND cpu AND downgrade RAM? Only regret I have is that my 3820 is the worth the same as a 4770 today, and my Sabertooth is also $310+.

Keep your components. They are good. But that should be your next upgrade.

Oh that was my bad on that part. I didn't read that you already have it; I thought this was a new build.
Everything looks good and i seriously can't see anything you'll need to upgrade to accomplish your needs. I would recommend a cpu cooler to overclock, but other than that you seem good.

Normally, there should be a name/brand/model on the psu. If there isn't, then you know it's a bad quality psu.

I just remembered that LGA 2011 processors don't come with a stock heatsink, so the OP must have an aftermarket cooler in there. What do you have?

The EVO is the best at its price. Literally nothing can beat it at that price point.

Yeah but it's not necessarily the best performing. We need to figure out what the OP has in his system before we can make any recommendations.

Exactly why I put "at that price point", although it beats a lot of air coolers that are 2 times its price.
