I am slightly ... confused about monitor Hz?

Hi, in a few months I plan on buying two GTX 770's. Seeing that this can run games on ultra at around 100fps depending on the game.

Anyway, the monitor that I plan on getting has a 60hz refresh rate. From what I can tell that means that the pixels on the monitor can change 60 times a second. If so, will I loose out on the extra fps my graphics card can give.

If so further, should I buy a monitor with a higher Hz rate.

Yes to see 120 FPS you need 120Hz monitor
