Hi, I'm trying to build a pc (for the first time) and I need some pointers. I'm not looking for the best gaming PC out there. I'm not even looking to play everything on max settings at 1080p. 720p or so will suffice and hopefully High settings instead of Ultra. If not, even Medium at around 60fps would be great. I've started a build and I'm looking for some opinions on it. Please help! There's no need to worry about the OS, I already have it. Thanks!

Pretty good build but i personally would go with a 500w or 550w psu possibly modular since i don't know if your case has cable management.

2*4gb sticks of RAM. A stronger non-reference GPU cooler would be better for temps/overclocking gigabyte, EVGA, Asus, are all good brands. Probably something like Corsair for PSU, you can't go wrong, I'd go with a Corsair 600m if I were you. Perhaps just a 6300? All you get is a higher clock speed which can be achieved through overclocking anyway.

This would be better

I suggest 8.1 simply because it is faster and the upgrade to windows 7. However if you really hate windows 8, windows 7 is still good.
