This graphics card only uses 63 watts and I want to get a little more from it. I have a g860 dual core 3ghz if that is helpful at all. And if I can OC it then what would be safe? Right now it's at 800mhz for both clock and memory

Welcome to Tom's Hardware Forums!

With a 300 watts PSU, overclocking may work some of the time but not consistently. It would be hard for it to handle spikes and sudden demands of power (surges). The level of OC also comes into play.

You can try it and at the first sign of a blue screen revert back to the settings that worked fine. Do not continue with repeated BSODs as this may damage other components of the system.

I do have corsair 500 psu but it won't fit into the case of my hp pavilion p6-2220t. Any suggestions?

[quotemsg What type is the Corsir PSU that you have? Model?

It is a CX500
[/quotemsg]

The CX500 is an ATX power supply and it should fit into your case.

The CX500 is bigger than the one in my computer now and it has more cords so it won't fit.
