Anybody know how much performance I should expect to get using a new GTX 760 with an older AMD based motherboard? The board is an ASUS M3A78-T which uses the AMD 790GX/SB750 chipset and PCIe 2.0. I'm thinking it may be foolish to put them together.

It really depends on the CPU!

It won't be, the 760 still has plenty of extra bandwidth to use in pcie2.0, however is you have a fx4xxx series cpu it would bottleneck

Thanks, I have an AMD 940. The FX is newer, I believe.
