I just bought a new laptop that has a Radeon 8670M in it and also has an i7-4702MQ with Intel 4600 graphics.

The performance is spectacular, especially in World of Warcraft, but I was wondering if I needed to disable my Intel 4600 graphics so that the machine knows to take full advantage of the dedicated card. I had read someplace in the past that it was necessary to do so if you had a machine with a dedicated card, or does the computer just automatically know when to use the 8670M?

Again, just to be clear, I need to know if I need to disable my Intel 4600 HD Graphics in order for the computer to know to use my 8670M dedicated card.

Thanks!

it sounds like its doing it automatically correctly. I wouldn't worry about it. I know for amd its in the amd control center you can set what programs use the APU or dedicated. So you might want to look in the intel config center (I know it has one I don't remember what its called) and see if you have the same settings to change.
