How much wattage do I need for this setup??
CPU: i5 4670k (84watts apparently)
GPU: MSI TWINFROZR GTX 760
RAM: 8gb of 2x4gb 1600mhz ram

So, if I overclock, (cpu+gpu) quite moderately (cpu to about 3.9ghz, and adding about 100mhz to gpu (correct me if i'm wrong)) then will the Corsair 600W Modular do the job? If not I guesss I could save up for a 750W, but let me know. thanks

Hey

4670k - 84W power consumption
GTX 760 - 200 max ( 150-170 while gaming max )
The rest of the system - 75W.

Total would be 300-350W when playing games or using your pc at max.

You can go with a good 500W PSU on that.

I recommend Seasonic G 550W
+ semi modular
+ gold +
+ seasonic ( the besttt )
+ good warranty

Also you will have some reserve for overclocking and more HDD's / SSD's

Also about your corsair, corsair PSU's are fabricated in china to let you know.
They don't use the best components, also a 600W would be more than enough! 750W would be definitelly an overkill

What ever you do, don't go with Corsairs CX, VS, RM series, they are not good enough.

RulesSpew have suggested you a good one, you may look into XFX 650W (550W of XFX is HASWELL CPU incompatible) Corsair HX or TX series, or Seasonic.

Good luck.

Seasonic is putting together their psu's in their own factories, not in china.
Also if you look at the price of corsair 600W and Seasonic 550W, they are cheaper, well guess why.

For PSU's I would trust Seasonic / XFX / Antek ( those are the best and have a great reputation )

I don't know, I mean I am on a tight budget (£60) and that's stretching it anyway. I have read a lot of good reviews on Corsair's CX600M. But I also saw some bad reviews on the XFX series. I'll maybe look into Seasonics then
