Hello, I am looking for a CPU cooler for my FX 6300 and want to know whether the Cooler Master Hyper TX3 Evo will be good enough for an overclock of up to around 4.2GHz?

NOTE: The reason I chose this over the Hyper 212 Evo is because this one doesn't require me to add backplates and so on meaning I don't have to take apart my system.

No , it's barely better than stock , get the HyPer 212 EVO.

+1 for the 212 Evo, the only reason I didn't get one was because it was too tight a fit in my case. The TX3 is a good stock replacement, but nothing more.

Are there any other alternatives that don't require me to take my motherboard out of the case?

Not really , the 212 is what you should use.
