my laptop hard disc is not responding.......

hi....

i have a dell vostro 3550

my lapi's config is:

i3 processor,
500gb hdd,
6gb ram,
& intel hd graphics family card

it is booting well....& all the softwares are working fine....
but the problem is when i am trying to open the "MYCOMPUTER " icon it is not responding and blank window will appear & some times it is working fine...

it wont allow me to even open the folders......:??:

i just try the same after restarting ...
then also the problem remains same.....


please any body help.......

When this happens try to hear if the disk is making any clicking or spinning sounds, if so there may be an issue with the disk itself or the interface.
If you are capable of opening up the HDD bay, try disconnecting the HDD and reconnecting it.
If none of that pans out have a look at the Event Viewer (look for critical events) there may be some info there.

i just observed it and there is no hdd sounds....

but the cpu fan is spinning ata a very high speed....

& iwill check for the event manager....

is there any other problems regarding this....

there are no critical events in the event viewer....

If the cpu fan is spinning at high speed there is probably a process causing it to do so.
Possibly update installation, an antivirus software or something like that.
You could see that in the task manager.
