My router is downstairs and i need a Ethernet cable connect to my computer but my computer is upstairs and i don't wan to have to run a cable through the house.

You could use a Power Line Adapter but those are iffy. Pretty much you plug it into a wall outlet and then plug a cable from the adapter to the router.

Then plug the other one into an outlet near your PC and run a cable from that adapter to your PC. They usually Run about 100 bucks. Its that, run a cable though the house, or get a WiFi Card for the PC.
