CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($219.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-D14 65.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($74.99 @ Mwave)
Motherboard: Asus Z87-A ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($129.99 @ NCIX US)
Memory: Corsair vengeance 8gb x2 $94.60
Storage: Seagate 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($129.99 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970 3GB Video Card ($387.99 @ Staples)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 600W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($54.99 @ Microcenter)

I was wondering if the power supply was good enough for this build. I'll have 2 120mm fans in the front and a 200mm fan on top. Might add another fan somewhere else. If I should also tell me that. Thanks. Also I'm not looking to change any parts except the power supply need be.

Personally, I think it's just right. Some people are going to be against the brand, but you should be fine.

The cpu draws around 84 watts. The gpu has a max draw of around 250 watts. Add in 50 for the board and drives round up and your at a 400 watts. Your computer will only pull 400 watts if every part of it working as hard as it can. In reality it will idle at like 100 watts and operate between 250 and 350.

That PSU is fine.

In this article toms has a system similar to yours to review the HD7970. The whole computer is only pulling 319 at average load.

Single-GPU gaming setups rarely break 300W output from the PSU so a 600W PSU is somewhat overkill as long as it is of half-decent quality unless you plan on adding some unusually power-hungry hardware in there or a 2nd GPU.

Yeah I feel like if it's just right then that's what I should do, bc if I get one bigger it's gonna cost me an additional 40 dollars and I could be using that money on other things and if I don't need it, why spend additional money on my electric bill

Dear, this psu is more than sufficient for your specs. Plus corsair is not bad at all. When it comes ro brand of psu we just check in which tier its model falls.

Don't worry and stick with this psu. Also remember while buying psu don't just check watts but also check the amps on +12v rail which should be above 40amps and efficiency which if above 85% comes handy.

Good luck,

Regards
