Hi All,

I seem to have an odd error,

I press the power button to start my PC up and right before it loads Windows it switches off and starts up again with no problems - Loads Windows fine?

PC Specs:
CPU i5-2500k
MB Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4-B3
Ram Corsair Vengence 1.5v 1600 8GB
Hdd Seagate 500GB SATA2
GPU Gigabyte 560ti SOC
Windows 7 Ultimate

But it really is odd, it for some reason always starts up twice?

What could be the cause and is there a solution?

Thank in Advance

Maybe the spring in the ON button is about done?

Solution- perhaps a new on button, I think some cases you can just get the on button assembly from whoever made your computer case.

No it's not that I recently bought a new pc case CM Storm Scout 2, so buttons and cables are all in perfect working order - I have had this issue before and solved it but can't remember how exactly - I remember altering some kind of setting in the bios? (When PC starts up press Del to enter BIOS)

Yeah, there is a settings option in the bios to decide what the ON button and reset button do. Could be something else hidden in the bios?

Funny I have the same CM Storm Scout 2 in Gunmetal Gray.

Double check all power and data connections.
Here is a good trouble shooting link that has helped me a few times.

If you have blank CD-R make an Ultimate boot disc.

With that iso file you need a special burner program

Restart your computer and boot off the Ultimate boot CD you just made. Launch 'Parted Magic'. It loads into ram and takes a few moments. Once that is loaded look for the hard drive diagnostic tool, it will tell you if you have a bad HDD or not with error codes.
