Ok sorry Tom's Hardware, I know this involves another site.. But I can't work this out through them. (Useless!)
I'd joined Bit-Tech's forum about two weeks ago, done their 'click the link' to activate.. But still cant post in the forums and when I try to go on my profile page.. It says I dont have permission or that i've had my account blocked. Without posting anything.
No replies from the Admin/Moderators when I tried to contact them.. What's up with that, has anyone else had a similar experience? WHY CANT IT BE SIMPLE LIKE ON HERE?!
(Only reason I wanted to join them is because they have a 'Modding' and 'Scratch Build' area in the forums for build logs, and I wanted to put up a build log for a project i'm about to start.. But now it seems like I wont be able to do that!)

Most sites have a button marked something like 'resend activation email'. This should get you a new activation email, if that's the issue.

The other option is that they've got an IP banning system in place, and someone who previously had your IP got banned.

Can you delete the account and try again?

Bit Tech apparently has a policy of 'Member for Life' (No account closing.. no idea why!)
But if I open another account with a different email.. They'll delete both accounts if they detect it's from the same person. :(
I'll have a look for the activation email thing!

Does it have any message of being banned for a certain time or reason?

How did you contact the admins? You may need to contact the actual forum manager, not just a mod.

Was your account name the same as here? No potential upsets in the profile picture or signature?

Many forums want positive moderator confirmation before they enable your account. Wait a few days.

I haven't had a specific Ban message/email.. Just a generic blocked page comes up.
I tried contacting the admins through their email form thing on the website, as they dont advertise an actial email address to contact them through.
Account name was 'Impatience' (Had to put 'Impatienc3' on here as it was already taken.. :/  ) and I hadn't had the chance to put a profile picture or signature on there..

Hopefully it's the moderator confirmation thing!

That note wasn't there when I'd signed up, and I'd bookmarked the modding part of the site.. So I hadn't seen that! *Doh!*
I'd used that contact page when I mailed them, so I guess I'll just wait to be accepted! :)  Thanks for your help!
