Does The Force Unleashed 2 run better on 4 cores?

Like I said somewhere else, I'm going to upgrade from Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 @2.5 GHz to Core 2 Quad Q6600 @2.4 GHz.
I play Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2, and it's a bit laggy even on the lowest settings. Does anyone know how many cores it uses? Will it run significantly better on a quad core?
I'm asking this because the requirements recommend Core 2 Duo @2.8 GHz, which makes me suspect that this game only uses two cores.

My specs:
Intel Pentium Dual Core E5200 @2.5 GHz
3 GB of RAM DDR2 800 MHz
ATI Radeon HD 4650 1GB

I suggest you get a new video card instead of the new CPU, and at some point upgrade the CPU.

The 4650 is ranked #405 here http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_list.php , the low end gaming cards, even older ones, should be about 200.

If you have an under 300 watt power supply and/or a small case, get a Radeon 7750, possibly in a small form depending on your case size, or the R7 250, small form also available here http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150682
If you have a power supply over 300 watts, that is a good quality one and you have a larger case, get the Radeon 7770 or the R7 250X whichever you can find cheaper.

The RAM could get a change also, if you have three one -gig sticks, get one more to use dual-channel RAM fully.

The CPU is a bit older by today's standards but it's a better CPU than your video card is a video card.
