Hey everybody,

Recently bought a used custom-built desktop off of a friend. These are the two parts:

CPU: Intel i7-3930k
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i

Whenever I boot the computer up, the first time it gives me a "CPU Fan Error". After that, the sub sequential boot goes straight through to Windows. Very strange!!! Could anybody perhaps shed some light on this?

Thanks a bunch!

That's a common error, it's usually nothing, and if everything works fine I wouldn't worry about it.

Thanks for the post, is there any way I can actually check to see, if it is in fact working after I reboot for the second time? I don't want a $100 cooler just sitting in there, if it's not doing anything... lol

It is. If it weren't your computer would turn off within 2 minutes.
