What do i need to upgrade to get better performance?

Okay, so lately my computer has started lagging in performance and therefore i want to upgrade parts of it. But i dont know what to upgrade, whether it should be the CPU, RAM, Graphic Card ect.and therefore i thought i would ask someone with more knowledge than me.

My currently rig:
Intel Core i7-3820
AMD Radeon HD 5700
MSI Global P55-CD53
I currently have both an SSD and HDD installed. Where i use the SSD for games and Windows.
I think my RAM capacity is around 4GB.

My budget is 450 £ / 750 $.

If i miss anything just tell me.

So my question: What should i upgrade to get better performance? And could you recommend any gear?

You might want to provide your budget. As normal apps should run fine on your configuration, so I am guessing you are experiencing lag in games etc. All things considered, you might want to upgrade your GPU.
