Can you crossfire the A8 6600K with an HD 6870?

I bought the A8 6600K thinking that I could crossfire it with my 6870, but upon more research, apparently you can't. I thought that if you could crossfire it with the 6670 and the 7750, you should be able to crossfire with the 6870 as well. Please help by telling me if you can or not. I have already opened the APU, but I think that I can return it, as I have not installed it yet.

Well the graphics card that comes with a8 6600k is 8570D. It doesn't make any sense to crossfire a 6870 with 8570D becuase the preformance difference between both cards with 6870 better by 200%. Switchable graphics can make sense on a laptop to save power, but not for a desktop.

Using your apu as a cpu + the 6870 as a discreet gpu alone is the better idea.

Less issues and better performance.


And yes you can only use 6670 or a 7750 to CF with that apu.
