Black spot on my laptop LED screen

Hi guys,

I have an HP Envy M6 15,6" LED, and i occidentally let it fall from my lap. It was a short fall but enough to creat this horrible dark spot on the lower left corner of my screen. It looks like some "ink" spilled inside the screen. Can you guys please give some more technical information on what probably happened with the screen and how I can solve this problem and how much it would cost me? I know that probably the solution will to get a new screen but it doesn't hurt to ask.

looks like dead pixels, which can be caused be a lot of pressure there or if you droped it. and the only fix is to buy a new monitor.

Hi, your screen is cracked, you have to replace with a new screen. You can't repair a cracked screen, with time the crack will spread.

It's quite funny cause after some use the dot starts to diminish and you sort of see the desktop background....

Hi, your screen is cracked, you have to replace with a new screen. You can't repair a cracked screen, with time the crack will spread.

After 30min of use look how the screen looks and how the spot gets smaller....

Ok, the black portion is getting smaller, but you still see where the pixels are not responding. If with time you regain the full screen, then you have no problem with your screen, but I don't think this will happen. If it does, you are lucky that your the screen will be alright.
