Gaming pc thoughts

hello there experience pc builder.

I would like to know your thoughts in this build.

Budget 700 dollars for pc hardware.

I will be using the pc for some gaming like battlefield 4 , guild wars at least medium settings. The pc would also be used for my school work.
major computer science first year.

You could switch out the motherboard for a Asus M5A97 R2.0 instead as it's probably a lot cheaper.
Perhaps you could spend some more money on the gpu then. Otherwise I like the cpu.

How about the motherboard you suggested with gtx 760

I agree with Romeru, if you don't plan on having multiple GPU's then go for a cheaper board. Then try and go for the 760 instead of the 750ti it will be a lot faster. If you can stretch to 1866mhz RAM as well that might be worth it as faster RAM speeds scale well with AMD and the 6300 will support up to 1866 natively I believe.

Thank you for your help. will 500 watt psu will work with gtx 760?

Well according to the geforce website 500w is the minimum required

I personally like to go with about 600w because I like the warm fuzzy feeling of having a little bet extra just in case!
