Recently I bought a defective 290 Tri-x and I have been refunded today. I was going to buy a new 290 Tri-x since I loved the cooling capabilities of this card and the fact that all of them have Hynix VRAM but it is out of stock now. My 2 alternatives are MSI 290 Gaming and Powercolor 290 PCS+. Now, Powercolor's cooler is similar to that of Tri-x's as it is relatively new and has 3 fans, but many PCS+ have Elpida memories which general opinion is that they are more unstable in any sort of overclock. On the other hand MSI's cooler is worse than Powercolor's but it is said that all are equiped with Hynix VRAM's. Prices are almost equal. So I need help on choosing one. Any ideas?
